In a previous post below, I called attention to Barak Obama's opposition to the California Marriage Protection Act. (CMPA, Prop. 8.) But he also opposed other important things, waffled, and got away with it by means of help from the media. Nobody puts it better than Rush:
Barack Obama opposed the surge, opposed victory, and opposed helping Iraqis. Now, the Drive-By Media covers for him and reports his brilliant strategies won victory in Iraq and Afghanistan. Stalin didn't get this kind of coverage from Pravda. There's going to be a backlash against the press over this.
Expect the press to act similarly in the California marriage battle. Expect the media to support the opposition to Prop. 8, to try and make its proponents look like foolish reactionaries, or like citizens from Mayberry. And expect it to act sanctimoniously and feign objectivity all the while. The only way to counter this is by a determined grass roots effort.
