Jerry Brown's rewording of Proposition 8's ballot title and summary--phrased negatively to spoil Prop. 8's chances--will stand.

I don't know why there will be no appeal, although it probably was a long shot. The one interesting thing was that in 50 years, there had been no ballot summary phrased negatively... until this one.
