The 38-55% recent Field Poll disfavoring passage of Prop. 8 (California's Marriage Amendment) certainly isn't news traditional marriage proponents were hoping for. Nevertheless, as noted in the post below and elsewhere, the Field Poll usually undercounts the traditional marriage position by 7-10% points. Moreover, Yes-on-8 is still outraising No-on-8 by 3-2. Seven percent of the voters are undecided, and we have yet to launch the t.v. ad campaign. And then there's turnout. Traditionalists can still win this thing, and
same-sex marriage proponents are rightly concerned.
