Ken the Playful Walrus dissects California's large cornucopia of super-rights for homosexual residents. Of course, the
LA Times piece operates as a sort of neener-neener, basically telling us even if Prop. 8 passes, homosexuals still have all these cutting edge protections. Well, it's true. California did go overboard in this way... it went way past the traditional mandate of providing equal protection. The California Supreme Court calls the homosexual community a "protected class." With the growing snowball of special rights and now the induction into the protected class category, it's no surprise an activist state high court would hold there is a right for same sex couples to marry.
